Although I see myself first and foremost as a researcher, I value quality pedagogy and am actively engaged with Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). I wrote a review of How College Works for Teaching Sociology, produced a teaching guide on the topic of Work and Family for the Gender & Society in the Classroom project, published an essay on technology for traditional classes through TRAILS (Teaching Resources and Innovations Library for Sociology), and completed a certificate in college pedagogy.
